Technical Overview
AC-ADA 557 is a high-performance acid diverting agent formulated to improve acid placement and injectivity during matrix acidizing treatments. It redirects acid from high-permeability or previously stimulated zones toward less-permeable and under-stimulated intervals, promoting a more uniform treatment and improved stimulation efficiency. It is suitable for carbonate formations, including limestone and dolomite, and can be used in water injection wells. AC-ADA 557 is compatible with common mineral acids, including HCl and HCl/HF systems, as well as fresh and brine water. It can be applied in vertical and horizontal wells through bullhead or coiled tubing operations, with typical concentrations of 0.5–5% v/v. Effective at temperatures up to 300°F (149°C).
